TORONTO — McCain Foods and Underground Chef Company (UCC) are presenting Battleapps — an eight-city chef battle tour series taking place across Canada. The tour kicked off in in Toronto when three amazing chefs going head to head for cash prizes.
The first event of the new year will take place in London, Ont. on January 23 (chefs to be determined with a local call out).
Each battle is designed to challenge chefs to create three dishes using secret ingredients from McCain Foods, along with showcasing the best of local products in the respective cities, presenting a new dish every 20 minutes to a panel of judges. The winners are awarded in cash and given exposure from both McCain and Underground Company Co.
Participating cities include: London, Kelowna, Hamilton, Halifax, Montreal, Saskatoon, and Edmonton.
