Lorraine Trotter Announces Retirement

TORONTO — Lorraine Trotter, Dean, Centre of Hospitality and Culinary Arts (CHCA) at George Brown College will be retiring this spring.

Since 2012, Trotter has led the development of new programs, facilities and partnerships at the CHCA. Previously, she led George Brown’s access programming and services, including immigrant-related projects and innovation. Trotter has also led George Brown’s International Centre and developed global strategy.

“After 10 years as Dean of the CHCA, I will be retiring, and we will have a new Dean in the late spring or early summer,” said Trotter in a press release. “The CHCA team and I will work hard over the winter and spring to prepare for their arrival, and I know they will have the same love of the CHCA community as I do.”

Collectively, Trotter has more than a decade of experience in the post-secondary education sector and more than 20 years of experience in the private sector.
