A combination of the leaders within several industries throughout Atlantic Canada, Big Eric’s Inc. has quickly become the largest distributor of restaurant supplies and equipment, janitorial supplies and equipment, automotive detailing supplies, and industrial chemicals within the region.
Big Eric’s Inc is the product of the amalgamation of three companies – Sani Pro Inc, Janitor’s Market Inc and Big Eric’s Restaurant Supplies Ltd., and now has warehouses, showrooms, and offices in Moncton, NB, Halifax and Dartmouth, NS, and St. John’s, NL, with a total of 45,000 sq. ft. of space. They have seventy employees throughout Atlantic Canada, including twenty outside customer service representatives, fourteen inside customer service representatives, and four technical service representatives. Big Eric’s experience and expertise spans more than half a century, and they consistently provide excellent service and product selection to their customers, while sharing strong relationships with their industry partners and vendors.
Dealer Sales Representative of the Year: Steve King of United Restaurant Supplies
Steve King began his career in the foodservice industry as a driver at Dinetz Restaurant Equipment in 1987, and he worked at Dinetz through the time he was in University. Upon graduating, Steve moved into an inside sales role at Dinetz where he gained product knowledge and industry relationships, and then became an outside sales rep in 1998. He was then given an opportunity to start a new phase in his career at United Restaurant Supplies in late 1998, in the role of outside sales representative. Over the years, Steve has developed and grown many chain and independent restaurant accounts and also built strong relationships with the manufacturer’s representatives in the industry. His success as a sales representative at GFS/United continues to this day.
