ATLANTA — The Atlanta-based Manufacturers’ Agents Association for the Foodservice Industry (MAFSI) has released its “2015 Commercial Foodservice Market Forecast” for the foodservice equipment industry in the U.S. and Canada.
The report forecasts healthy growth of 4.1 per cent for 2015 over 2014. Growth is expected across all regions of North America and all product segments.
Overall, sales for 2015 compared to 2014 are forecast to grow by 4.1 per cent in the northeast, 4.6 per cent in the mid-west, 4.0 per cent in the south, 4.8 per cent in the west and 3.4 per cent in Canada. In terms of product category sales growth in North America, MAFSI forecasts the equipment sector will grow by 4.1 per cent, the supply sector will grow by 4.7 per cent, the tabletop sector will grow by 4.3 per cent and the furnishings sector will grow by 3.1 per cent.
