HALIFAX — Maritime Travel is on the move, with seven new offices planed for British Columbia as part of West Coast expansion plans.
Thirty-six new travel counsellors will filter into the new locations in Abbotsford, South Surrey, New Westminster, Richmond, Vernon, Kelowna and Kamloops, broadening the reach of Atlantic Canada’s largest travel agency chain to a total of 12 locations in B.C.
This move, by the 60-year-old travel company, demonstrates the growth of the once stalled tourism sector on which many restaurateurs rely to fill their dining rooms.
