LANGLEY, B.C. — David Jorge, winner of season two, MasterChef Canada, has joined forces with Joseph Richard Group (JRG) for its newest endeavour, S+L Kitchen & Bar in Langley, B.C.
“We’re very confident and very excited to bring a dining experience like none other, with the best in quality local ingredients and dishes created by JRG corporate chef David Jorge,” says Ryan Moreno, CEO of JRG in an interview with Vancity Buzz.
Two years in the making, the steak-and-seafood restaurant is a change from the group’s traditional pub fare. It will offer menu items sourced from the Fraser Valley including pork raised in Abbotsford. Other items include fried cauliflower ($9); Ribeye Wagyu steak from Snake River Farms, butchered in-house ($41 for 8 oz.); porchetta sandwich with slow roasted pork belly, chimichurri and arugula served on focaccia ($16); and chef David Jorge’s winning Master Chicken — fried chicken served with bourbon bacon, corn and mashed potatoes ($19).
S+L Kitchen & Bar Langley is open 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. and is located on 8399 200 St.
