TORONTO — Celebrity chef Matty Matheson has opened a brand-new restaurant in Toronto called Bar Clams, located at 802 Dundas West.
Bar Clams is a Maritime-themed diner in the former space of Fonda Balm, which Matheson co-owned before it closed last June. Seafood, hearty sandwiches and Atlantic-coast classics such as Jiggs dinner (a Newfoundland staple of corned beef, potatoes and veggies, form the base of the menu.
Additionally, there’s an extensive wine list with a range of high and low options, including bottles of champagne. There’s also a short list of beers, a range of spirits and a few cocktails.
