McCain Foods Limited Appoints New President of Canadian Division

TORONTO — Danielle Barran is the new country president for McCain Foods (Canada), a division of McCain Foods Limited. Barran assumed full responsibility for the Canadian commercial business effective August 20.

Reporting to Jeff DeLapp, president, North America, Barran will lead McCain Foods Canada’s next stage of strategic development. “We are pleased to welcome Danielle to McCain. She will be a tremendous asset to both our Canadian business and our North American senior-leadership team,” says Jeff DeLapp. “Under Danielle’s leadership, the Canadian team will continue to foster strong customer relationships and drive innovation, further enabling the leadership position of the company.”

Barran brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in the consumer-packaged-goods industry to the role, as well as a track record of driving sustainable top- and bottom-line growth, market-segment share, sales and profitability. She joins McCain Foods Canada from The J.M. Smucker Company, where she was most recently the vice-president of Commercial Strategy (pet division).

An active member of Women Corporate Directors and an ambassador for the Network of Executive Women, Barran holds an MBA and HBA from the Ivey Business School.
