TORONTO — McDonald’s Canada will be celebrating its sixth-annual National Hiring Day on April 6 by adding 7,000 employees to its team — the highest number of people ever hired by the company in one day.
“At a time of rising unemployment across the country and when youth unemployment is almost double the national average, McDonald’s has a variety of roles to offer — whether it’s a first job or a new job,” says Sharon Ramalho, chief people officer for McDonald’s Canada.
McDonald’s started its annual hiring day in 2011 and has since hired over 28,000 people through the event.
