McDonald’s Canada Unveils Next Chapter of Brand Transformation

TORONTO — McDonald’s Canada is ramping up its brand transformation, aiming to revolutionize guest experience in its restaurants across the country by the end of 2017.

“We are kicking off a bold plan to transform what guests experience when they visit McDonald’s restaurants across Canada,” said John Betts, president and CEO of McDonald’s Canada. “We want our guests to walk in and be wowed by an experience that’s modern and personalized, but still the McDonald’s they know and love.”

Features will include self-order kiosks and table delivery provided by dedicated wait staff. Guests will also have the option to build their own burger through the new “Create Your Taste” menu which offers nearly 30 options — including five types of cheese, 12 toppings, two buns, a lettuce wrap and nine sauces.
The brand’s restaurant at Victoria Park and St. Clair in Toronto will be the first location to receive these updates.

McDonald’s Canada will also advance its sustainability and Canadian sourcing initiatives as it approaches its 50th anniversary in 2017.
