CHICAGO — McDonald’s has begun to expand testing of its chicken wings in select U.S locations.
Following a successful test in Atlanta last year, the company will start to test its Mighty Wings in Chicago this week, reports the Associated Press.
The wings are expected to be sold in three, five or 10 pieces with prices likely starting at $3.
McDonald’s has been facing increasing competition from Burger King, Wendy’s and higher-end fast-casual chains such as Chipotle Mexican Grill. The company recently recorded its first sales drop since 2003.
