McDonald’s Restaurants Introduces New Chicken Sandwich Called The 12

TORONTO — McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada is giving consumers another option for their lunchtime hunger pangs. The company recently introduced The 12, a new premium chicken sandwich, made from chicken sourced only from Canadian farmers. The 12 caters to the on-the-go person looking for a fresh, quality lunch. Created-to-order in the McDonald’s kitchen, the sandwich is made with a choice of crispy or grilled Canadian chicken breast, Applewood seasoned sauce, fresh tomato, leaf lettuce, white cheddar cheese and a sesame and poppy seed-glazed bun.

The company’s sustainability efforts are furthered by the company’s commitment to source only chickens raised without antibiotics that are important to human medicine by 2018. The restaurant chain is currently working with industry to implement this new antibiotics policy.
