TORONTO — McDonald’s Canada celebrated its 25th annual McHappy Day in Canada May 2. The one-day celebration raised more than $6.1 million in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Canada and local children’s charities.
These funds will support local children’s charities and 31 RMHC locations that keep families with a sick child close — close to one another and close to the care their child needs. “This is where families get a little bit of normal when their world has been turned upside down,” says Cathy Loblaw, president & CEO of RMHC Canada. “We’re extremely thankful to all Canadians who generously contributed to McHappy Day this year and to all of our franchisees and their crews who worked tirelessly to make this 25th anniversary the most successful to date.”
