TORONTO — Chef Isam Kaisi, of 93 Harbord restaurant, is planning to open District Oven, a Middle Eastern and Mediterranean restaurant at 842 College St., an address formerly occupied by the Portuguese bar Cervejaria.
According to Toronto Life, community is the theme of Kaisi’s new venture where patrons will be seated at communal tables and encouraged to share a selection of dips, kebabs and seafood platters.
The restaurant is expected to launch in a few weeks.
