LOS ANGELES — As fast-casual continues to heat up in the U.S., the Menchie’s team is announcing the launch of a Neapolitan pizzeria, MidiCi Neapolitan Pizza, in Los Angeles next month.
“Since I have a true love for pizza and a passion for people, I envisioned a place that brings friends together over an experience of authentic Neapolitan pizza — a place that creates real, human connection,” Menchie’s CEO and partner, Amit Kleinberger, told California’s Ventura Blvd magazine.
The build-your-own-pizza concept will offer 12-inch pies made with double-zero flour from Italy, baked to order and priced between $6 and $8. It will also include craft beer on tap and wine by the glass or the bottle. “The food world is going through a shift. People are significantly more knowledgeable about what they eat, and they want and demand better food. And they want it to be accessible, not just once a year,” Kleinberger told the news outlet. “They’re looking for an experience, something different.”
The eatery is set to open May 9.
