CALGARY — Moxie’s Grill & Bar has announced the appointment of Alex Chen, former executive chef at the Beverly Hills Hotel, to the role of culinary architect.
“Passion and attention to detail is the reason we hired chef Chen,” said Laurids Skaarup, Moxie’s president.
“His talent is boundless, and he has a love of food that transcends any culinary style or trend, which is essential in today’s premium casual landscape.”
Chen worked at the Beverly Hills Hotel for six years. In his new role at Moxie’s, he will support menu development and steer the company’s culinary training, while developing new dishes and making improvements to current menu favourites.
“I am excited to be part of the Moxie’s team,” Chen said. “This is going to be an exciting journey, and I am looking forward to supporting their culinary program and ensuring guests experience exceptional food in the casual, high-energy and stylish restaurants Moxie’s has designed.”
