TORONTO — Kelly Hughes is the inaugural local food procurement officer at The Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC).
The chef and project manager will create and implement a new MTCC strategy with funding support from the Broader Public Sector Investment Fund as part of the Greenbelt Fund.
The MTCC has also partnered with the Ontario Culinary Tourism Alliance in support of the initiative.
The MTCC — a convention and tradeshow facility — has served as the stomping ground for approximately 15,000 events with more than 40-million guests since opening in 1984.
