MUSKOKA, Ont. — Acclaimed beach bar and tuck shop, Frankies Surf Club will open a pop-up location at the Casa Laha beach house in Tulum, Mexico from Jan. 27 to Feb. 1.
Frankies Surf Club is the brainchild of Toronto restaurateurs Ian McGrenaghan and Colin Tooke of Grand Electric and Electric Mud BBQ. The pair revived the Port Carling Surf Club in June 2015 under its longstanding nickname, Frankies Surf Club — creating a mix between luxury retail store and cafe/bar.
“We’ve always dreamed of being able to take Grand Electric to the beach, and Frankies Surf Club Tulum is the perfect opportunity,” says Ian McGrenaghan
The week long pop-up will take place on the beaches of Tulum, with a dinner featuring a full Mexican tasting menu prepared by chef Colin Tooke taking place on Jan. 29.
