NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. — The Ventin Group Architects (+VG) and Johnson Chou Design have renovated the Table Rock Welcome Centre, a retail and observation complex, on the edge of Horseshoe Falls. Now called the Table Rock House Restaurant, the $9.7-million renovation includes changes to the existing upper and lower dining areas, main entrance, waiting area, kitchen service and bar.

The 6,383-sq.-ft. restaurant seats 280 people and the menu features locally sourced, artisanal food and wines from the Niagara-on-the-Lake region.

“The purpose of the design was to create a dining experience that captures and focuses on the natural wonder, unbridled power and majesty of the falls by creating a unique memorable dining experience that begins at the entrance of the restaurant through the coper-clad tunnel that houses the hostess desk and ends with a dramatic overlook of the falls,” says Paul Sapounzi, president and managing partner of +VG.
