STRATFORD, Ont. — Editor and writer Dianne Jacob has been named the Joseph Hoare Gastronomic Writer in Residence for The Stratford Chefs School’s (SCS) 2013/2014 school year.

Jacob has worked as editor and writer on a number of Canadian newspapers and American international magazines. She’s freelanced at Gastronomica, salon.com and Writer’s Digest.

“It is Dianne’s knowledge and experience in teaching and coaching writers that convinced the GWIR Selection Committee to choose her as the seventh candidate in the illustrious lineup of writers who have held this chair at the Stratford Chefs School,” reads a statement from the Ontario chefs’ school.

In the fall, SCS students will study Jacob’s book Will Write for Food.

Previous Gastronomic Writers in Residence include: James Chatto, a columnist and author; Corby Kummer, a writer and author and Michael Symons, an Australian academic and author.
