TORONTO — Toronto’s Bloordale neighbourhood is evolving with the launch of three new hip restaurants — Karelia Kitchen, The Emerson and The Whippoorwill, reports the Toronto Star.
“Bloordale is coming back to life. It went through a period where it lost its lustre, but now people from the neighbourhood are opening restaurants that represent their communities,” Tyler Cunningham, Whippoorwill’s chef and co-owner is quoted as saying by the Star.
All three new restaurants have opened between Lansdowne Avenue and Dufferin Street. [Toronto Star]
