TORONTO — New York Fries has expanded to Egypt, with a new unit in Cairo and a continued emphasis on international expansion.

“New York Fries has been successfully expanding throughout the Middle East for over a decade now,” says Jay Gould, president and CEO of New York Fries. “Two years ago we started opening stores in Turkey and interest in our brand has been steadily growing in the region. We are absolutely delighted to have moved into Egypt with our latest opening in Cairo.”

Some of the signature items include Imli Fries topped with a tamarind sauce, Butter Chicken Fries topped with butter masala with creamy tomato sauce, Chili Beef Fries with real sour cream, cheese sauce, green onions and bacon, as well as premium chicken and beef hot dogs.

The Cairo unit marks New York Fries’ 21st location in the Middle East. In recent months the chain has also expanded into Oman with two units, and Saudi Arabia with three units. The chain has identified Panama as a new market for growth.
