MONTREAL – SIAL Montreal has been renamed SIAL Canada. The change was made to reflect its positioning as an international trade event, and when the new SIAL opens its doors April 21 to 23 in Montreal, organizers promise it will be bigger and better than ever.

For food professionals craving to know all about the latest trends, innovative ideas and new products that will be available across the country, SIAL Canada will bring together more than 500 food industry exhibitors from 30 countries, attracting some 12,000 attendees from 60 different nations.

SIAL Canada is also adding some new attractions in 2010, including: SIAL Cuisine, a new chef-focused demonstration area at the show; the 4th annual Olive d’Or contest, a competition for extra virgin olive oils of the highest quality; the Trends & Innovations Awards, which feature new prototypes and first-in-market creations; and SET Canada, an equipment show-within-a-show, dedicated to the food retail and foodservice sectors.

During the event, conferences, workshops and roundtable discussions will be led by industry experts. A full program of the speakers and conference options will be posted here.
