ST.ANDREWS, N.B — According to a report from cbc.com, a man in St. Andrews New Brunswick has been handed down the stiffest sentence in Canadian coffee history; he has been banned from his local Tim Hortons for life.
According to the story, Jimmy Craig received the ban for his complaints that the decaffeinated coffee tasted “like brown burnt water.”
Franchise owner Edwin Dow, however, contends that all reasonable efforts were made to accommodate Craig, with several fresh pots brewed but, in the end, he had no choice but to serve the customer, not with a coffee and Timbit, but with the ban.
The story does go on to suggest that Craig may now be looking at his legal options. For the complete article, click here.
