TRURO, N.S. — A new Boston Pizza opened in Truro, N.S. on June 17.
Boston Pizza International Inc. owner and Dragon’s Den panellist, Jim Treliving, is expected to attend the invitation-only grand opening celebration, which is expected to take place sometime in the next few weeks.
The franchised location is a partnership between Annapolis Valley’s Whynot family and Jason and Pam Williams of Truro. Along with general manager Brendon Boyd, the team has more than 30 years of restaurant-operating experience with other Boston Pizza locations in the province.
“The Boston Pizza brand has a long tradition of making a difference in the local community and supporting local causes through fundraising,” says Jason Williams. “We look forward to working closely with the local sports teams, schools and other groups to make a difference in Truro.”
To help the new location establish roots within the community, tips received during the restaurant’s training sessions will be donated to the Colchester Food Bank.
