MONTREAL — The French-inspired bistro Colette Grand Café opened to the public in Montreal’s Holt Renfrew department store, according to Eater Montreal.

This 60-seat café follows on the heels of the opening of Colette Grand Cafés in the Holt Renfrew at Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre and Vancouver’s CF Pacific Centre, earlier this month, and will soon be followed by an additional location set to open in Edmonton.

The menu and interior of the restaurant is inspired by French decor and technique. Each of the new restaurants features menu items unique to the location, but the bulk of the menu will mirror that of the original Toronto location. Some of the menu items include beef tartare with cornichons, shallots, capers, Dijon, egg yolk and gaufrettes ($17); a roasted chicken with fresh-cut fries, seasonal vegetables and herb jus ($24); and a classic steak frites made with a caramelized shallots reduction ($32).

The Montreal location also plans to launch a brunch menu in the coming weeks.
