CALGARY — Hotel Arts Group has launched its newest restaurant at the Kensington Riverside Inn in Calgary. Taking over the space previously occupied by Chef’s Table restaurant, Oxbow is set to deliver a refreshed, approachable style of dining.
Chef de cuisine Sean Cutler, under the direction of Hotel Arts Group executive chef Jan Hansen, has developed a menu that bends traditional comforts through creativity and skill, showcasing seasonal ingredients for a truly unique but perfectly familiar experience.
“The experience of dining at Oxbow is that of ease,” says Mark Wilson, general manager and VP of Hotel Arts Group. “It will be a stylish yet casual place for both locals and visitors to enjoy while indulging in good food, without any fancy expectations or unapproachable offerings.”
The restaurant’s namesake — an ode to a bend in the river — is a playful trope to its location along the Bow River in Kensington. The space — designed by Sarah Ward Interiors — also takes design cues from the river and the surrounding region. By blending traditional elements with modern pieces of visual interest, Ward has maintained Hotel Arts Group’s focus on art without creating an air of extravagance. The upgraded designs have also been extended to the lobby of the Kensington Riverside Inn, resulting in an enhanced guest experience.
Oxbow will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, as well as weekend brunch.
