CALGARY — Fresh on Calgary’s dining scene is contemporary British restaurant, Whitehall.

A collaboration between Vintage Group owner, Lance Hurtubise and Michelin-starred chef Neil McCue, the 92-seat restaurant has found a home in the Bridgeland neighbourhood of Calgary. Situated in the historic de Waal Block, the two-storey space boasts original finishes, including hardwood floors and pressed tin ceilings.

McCue’s menu was created based on the philosophy that fine cooking can be enjoyed outside the context of fine dining. Featured items include a cured fillet of salmon served with pink grapefruit tea, radish and pine oil ($16); chestnut honey-glazed duck breast with endive, orange and marmalade potatoes ($30) and a Douglas Fir pine parfait with bitter chocolate sorbet ($12). A four-course tasting menu of chef’s selections is also available for $80 per person.
