HALIFAX — Two new vegan eateries are set to open this summer, adding to Halifax’s growing vegan scene, according to the NS Daily Business Buzz.
Wild Leek Food & Juice Bar on Windsor Street, which opened Thursday, will host its grand opening in late June. The 18-seat restaurant offers tofu ricotta wild mushroom tarts, sandwiches, tofu sliders and smoothies. The eatery will also sell vegan cakes and host cooking classes.
Another vegan eatery, EnVie, which will open in July, will offer pastas, artisan cheeses, creams and sauces as well as gluten-free items. “[It’s] a comfortable, relaxing space that you can come in and enjoy a nice glass of wine, some great pastas and a lot of different food,” owner Diandra Phipps told the Buzz. “We’re trying to do the new vegan.” [ns.dailybusinessbuzz.ca]
