NEW YORK CITY — Chef Jimmy Bradley recently announced he’s postponing plans to open his J&S Food Hall restaurant to focus on his fight against oral cancer, The New York Times reports.
The 43-year-old chef and owner of Manhattan restos the Red Cat and the Harrison, told the Times that even though “it’s a bad break,” his prognosis is good.
“I just think at this point the best thing for me is to concentrate on my health and on the livelihood of the 100 people I already have working for me, not on hiring 50 people for a new business,” Bradley told the newspaper.
