TORONTO — Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants, (O&B) in partnership with Ink Entertainment, is opening a food-and-lounge concept and large-scale event venue at the Calgary Hudson’s Bay flagship store in the spring.
“We envision the restaurant as having a vibrant integrated lounge space that will transition well into late-night cocktails and entertainment,” said Andrew Oliver, president, Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants.
“To achieve this, we knew we needed the expertise of Charles Khabouth and his team. This will be our first concept collaboration with Ink Entertainment, and we’sre very excited about the possibilities.”
The new restaurant will feature a large outdoor patio and a full-service, event venue. The 7,500-sq.-ft. restaurant and 4,000-sq.-ft. lounge will offer seated à la carte lunch and dinner. The 20,000-sq.-ft. event space will be located on the sixth floor of Hudson’s Bay’s heritage building and is set to open in fall 2014.
The culinary vision will be forged by O&B’s Michael Bonacini and corporate executive chef Anthony Walsh who will incorporate simple, traditional cooking methods and modern dishes inspired by Alberta ingredients.
