Old Spaghetti Factory Introduces Beyond Meat Menu Item

VANCOUVER — The Old Spaghetti Factory has launched a new menu item — a Beyond Meat Spaghetti and Meatball dish — at all of its restaurants in Canada.

“We’re very excited to be able to offer the satisfying flavour of our traditional meatballs with the added health benefits and environmental sustainability of plant-based protein. We believe preparing them fresh, by hand and in-house every day, makes all the difference in quality and taste,” says Michael Thompson, executive chef at Old Spaghetti Factory Canada.

The dish — which is vegan, dairy-free, soy-free and contains no GMOs — will also include gluten-free spaghetti and will be served with house-made Italian marinara sauce. The Beyond Meat meatballs will be hand-rolled daily.

The latest dish adds to a menu that already features a variety of vegan and vegetarian options, including spaghetti and mushroom sauce, as well as vegetarian lasagna.

“Most dishes can be modified to be vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free,” says Thompson. “Providing that flexibility to our guests with dietary restrictions is very important.”
