VANCOUVER — Renowned restaurateur Francis Regio has opened ‘ONO Raw Bar in Vancouver’s Gastown district.
A combination of Japanese-inspired cuisine and West Coast fare, ‘ONO boasts an extensive selection of fresh fish flown in daily from the Sea of Japan and the Pacific Ocean.
‘ONO, the Hawaiian word for ‘delicious’, offers fresh ingredients and delicacies from both the raw bar and the gas-fired kitchen paired with Japanese whiskey, sake, wine, or the craft beer. The Omakase Sushi Bar offers diners a view of chef Takuya Motohashi and his team at work.
The space, designed by the team at Kalu Interiors, features original rounded wooden railings, wall paneling and dark espresso woods which give way to glass railings, crisp white subway tiles at the bar and light, natural wood floors throughout.
