TORONTO — Although the Ontario government has closed Cinesphere, water park and amusement rides at Ontario place as redevelopment plans are hammered out, Atlantis Pavilions will remain open.
“We remain extremely positive to be working along with our new partners in this forward direction to revitalize the waterfront and are excited for what the future will hold for this area of land,” said Sam D’Uva and Piero Suppa, managing directors of Atlantis Pavilion, which features ballrooms and a rooftop patio with foodservice.
The Molson Amphitheatre and the Marina will also remain open.
According to Finance Minister Dwight Duncan, the province will save $20 million by closing the Toronto attractions while planning for redevelopment.
