CALGARY — The Alberta-based Opa! Souvlaki Franchise Group Inc. recently appointed Simon Lileikis as president and CEO of the quick-service restaurant group.
Lileikis brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served as COO at Edo Japan for 12 years.
During his tenure with Edo Japan, Lileikis was responsible for the company’s operations, marketing, supply chain, real estate, franchising and daily management initiatives. Edo Japan’s net income grew by more than 600 per cent under Lileikis, lifting the brand from an independent concept to a national brand, performing at the top of the Asian food category. In addition to working with Edo Japan, Lileikis held a variety of positions at Starbucks Coffee Company, including market leader, training manager and international store operations consultant for the Middle East market.
Opa! Souvlaki Franchise Group Inc. is the franchisor of a QSR and fast-casual concept, featuring Greek food. The group has more than 80 restaurants, from B.C. to Quebec.
