TOFINO, B.C. — Ombré is slated to open in Tofino, B.C. in early summer. Aptly named as a nod to the sunsets for which the city is renowned, the restaurant will offer small plates, wine and cocktails throughout the day. David Provencal and Eric Murdoch, two of the top talents at Wolf in the Fog, will be at the helm.
Having held the role of sous chef at Wolf in the Fog since 2018, chef Provencal will move into the role of executive chef at Ombré. Meanwhile, Murdoch brings his years of restaurant management in L.A. and New York City to the front of house as general manager.
The menu at Ombré will offer an array of seasonal small plates, with minimal use of modern techniques and timeless traditions.
“Our goal is to create light and balanced dishes that elevate the natural flavours of our ingredients,” says Provencal.
“With careful attention to every detail, our aim is to ensure that every visit to Ombré leaves a lasting impressions,” says Murdoch.
