OTTAWA — The votes are in and Ottawa’s favourite eateries and restaurant personalities were recently chosen at the ORHMA Ottawa Restaurant Awards Gala, which toasts the best of the hospitality community.
The public even offered their opinion, voting for a handful of People’s Choice Awards, including one for Casual Dining, which was awarded to The Works Gourmet Burger Bistro.
“After eight years, the people of Ottawa continue to support us in droves,” said Ion Aimers, owner of all six Works locations and last year’s recipient of the Bill Joe Restaurateur of the Year Award.Other people’s choice winners of the night included: The Crazy Horse for Favourite Nightlife Spot and Play for Favourite Fine Dining Restaurant. Chef of the Year was awarded to Neil Mather of Graffiti’s Italian Eatery & Saloon at Holiday Inn Select Hotel & Suites Ottawa Kanata and the New Restaurant of the Year went to ZenKitchen.
