What’s Influencing Our Industry?

The IDDBA has long excelled at doing the work to research the ever-shifting climate and today we go beyond just examining the new omnichannel landscape. We’ve identified the industry’s “Six Influencers” as the pillars.Once understood, these can serve as the framework for navigating our industry to success in an Internet age where consumers have more options and are more informed and involved than ever before. PEOPLE, FOOD SAFETY, TECHNOLOGY, CONSOLIDATION, COMPETITION and COMMUNITY are at the forefront of our association’s vision to provide relevant strategies and actionable solutions.

We make professional development always accessible. From influential speaker sessions to actively engaging with B2B partnerships driving the fresh-food industry, the opportunities don’t stop there. IDDBA produces top industry trends reports and original research and develops customizable training programs, including timely webinars on marketing, merchandising, management and operations, food safety and customer service. Financial support for scholarships, mentoring programs, food-safety certification and even leadership training are several of the opportunities our members can take advantage of, year-round. In 2019 alone, we awarded more than $316,000 in scholarships to aspiring young professionals.

Since 1964, the IDDBA has been striving to be the essential resource for relevant information and services that add value across all food channels for the dairy, deli, and bakery categories. IDDBA is dedicated to moving the Dairy-Deli-Bakery industry forward through education, training, the exchange of industry data, professional dialogue and networking, plus selling opportunities.

Whether your business is food retailing, foodservice, manufacturing/marketing, wholesaling, brokering or distributing, the IDDBA’s goal is to help you succeed. Our membership includes more than 2,000 companies ranging from small independents to the world’s largest corporations.
