TORONTO — Oyster Boy, the popular 45-seat restaurant on Queen St. W., is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year after opening its doorsin the spring of 1999.

Despite overcoming many challenges, founder and owner Adam Colquhoun’s faith has never wavered,

“I’ve survived three recessions, the 2003 SARS outbreak and more,” he explains. “Today one would think things were basically impossible for the independent restaurant/catering operator, but Oyster Boy is still here and I’m still standing. I still love shucking and sharing oysters and I’m not going anywhere. The oyster is my world.”

In addition to oysters and other shellfish, Oyster Boy offers a variety of finfish, salads, steak frites and house-made desserts. Its beer selection includes a variety of local craft brews and the wine list offers classic whites and reds,as well as many Ontario favourites.
