VANCOUVER — The culinary concepts have been revealed for B.C.’s new entertainment destination — Parq Vancouver. The complex, which is set to open this fall, will feature eight restaurants and lounges, each offering a distinctive dining journey inspired by regional ingredients and multicultural influences.

The food-and-beverage portfolio — conceived by James Beard Award-nominated restaurateur Elizabeth Blau and Canadian chef Kim Canteenwalla of Blau + Associates — features notable Asian influences and will incorporate Asian flavours with Pacific-Northwest ingredients.

The first concept, Honey Salt, will be located on Parq Vancouver’s first floor, adjacent to the JW Marriott lobby. The concept will celebrate the bounty of B.C. with regionally inspired, farm-to-table cuisines from locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as brunch and afternoon tea.

BC Kitchen will be located on the second floor (casino floor), offering high-quality and creative versions of classic bar comfort foods. BC Kitchen boasts an extensive collection of local, regional and international beer and is poised to become a top pre- and post-event destination in downtown Vancouver.

Inspired by Singapore night markets, Mrkt East will offer an innovative and immersive dining experience featuring a menu of Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Thai, Singaporean and Vietnamese favourites. Guests arriving for lunch or dinner will engage with cooks as their dishes are prepared. The restaurant’s coffee bar will serve a variety of specialty coffees, bubble teas, espresso and pastries.

Opening this winter, The Victor will feature a contemporary and seasonally inspired menu of Pacific Northwest seafood and steaks. Nestled alongside the sixth-floor rooftop park, The Victor showcases views of the water and downtown skyline. The restaurant will also feature a centerpiece sushi bar, expansive wine selection and a cutting-edge cocktail menu.

Drawing its name from the year Vancouver’s Chinatown first emerged, 1886 offers a menu of dishes from four culinary regions of China — Canton, Szechuan, Hunan and Shanghai — with an emphasis on Cantonese cuisine. Located on the third floor (high-limit gaming floor), 1886 will offer an elegant and modern atmosphere featuring a live saltwater seafood tank stocked with local and international varieties of white fish and shellfish.

Centre Bar will serve as the social hub of Parq Vancouver’s casino. It will offer a selection of signature cocktails, high-end premium spirits and wine by the glass.

The Douglas, an Autograph Collection Hotel, will house D/6 Bar & Lounge — an indoor/outdoor sky bar located on Parq Vancouver’s sixth floor. The concept will serve as the hotel’s lobby bar, as well as a nightlife destination. The venue will feature a fireplace, bookcases, pool table and a menu of handcrafted cocktails.

Lotus Whiskey and Tea Lounge — located on the complex’s third floor — will serve a variety of high-quality, exotic and internationally brewed loose-leaf teas during the day and a selection of reserved whiskeys, scotch and bourbon in the evening.

Located in the heart of Vancouver’s entertainment district, Parq Vancouver will feature two hotels — Western Canada’s first JW Marriott Hotel and The Douglas — as well as 72,000 sq. ft. of world-class casino space, a 30,000-sq.-ft. rooftop park and more than 60,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting and event space.
