Pizza Nova Opens Unit; Contributes to Haiti Relief

TORONTO — It was a busy weekend in Ontario’s foodservice industry; not only did Valentine’s Day fall on the weekend, but the province’s Feb. 15 Family Day also boded well for many hospitality operators.

Amidst the hectic weekend Pizza Nova opened its newest unit — at 193 Harbord Street, just east of Bathurst in Toronto — with a 10-hour fundraising event in support of earthquake relief efforts in Haiti.

From 11 a.m. until 9 p.m., $1 from each $3.99 medium pepperoni pizza sold at the Harbord Street location, was donated to UNICEF’s Haiti Relief Fund.

UNICEF is the world’s leading agency for children and is providing crucial child protection efforts, urgently needed life-saving supplies and relief services to families and children affected by the massive earthquake.
