TORONTO — Pizza Nova held its 23rd-annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Station Creek Golf course in Gormley, Ont., earlier this month, which raised $51,542 for Student Nutrition Ontario.

The event featured raffles and silent auctions and the money raised will provide a healthy morning meal or snack at school for 25,000 students.

Pizza Nova’s partnership with Student Nutrition Ontario proudly began in 2015 with Coins For Breakfast — a program that supports Student Nutrition Ontario through in-store donation boxes the chain’s 140 participating locations. To date, Pizza Nova has raised more than $120,000 for Student Nutrition Ontario.

“Student Nutrition Ontario is a network of 14 charities that oversee the Ontario Student Nutrition Program. We support student success by offering nutritious foods and building supportive communities. We represent over one-million children age three to 18, who receive breakfast, a snack and sometimes lunch at school each day,” says Oriel Thomson, Partnership & Resource Development manager of Student Nutrition Ontario. “It is only through the generous support of partners like Pizza Nova, that we are able to meet the needs of our program and communities.”
