Pizza Pizza Donates $250,000 to Toronto Zoo

TORONTO — Pizza Pizza will be contributing $250,000 to the Toronto Zoo’s new Wildlife Health Centre (WHC).

“Giving back to the communities we serve is an important part of Pizza Pizza’s culture,” said Paul Goddard, president, CEO, Pizza Pizza Limited. “The Toronto Zoo is a special part of our community, and the new Wildlife Health Centre is an initiative we are proud to support. Our investment in the WHC helps ensure the zoo can provide top-notch health care for animals and support those who care for them.”

The WHC houses a team of veterinarians, animal-health technicians, reproductive physiologist and reproductive research assistants to ensure the highest quality of animal health care. The WHC is also home to the Zoo’s reproductive physiology lab, conservation breeding programs, the Amphibian Rescue Centre and many research projects.

The project began construction in early 2015 and will be completed in 2016/2017.
