TORONTO — Pizza Pizza has committed to raising $2 million, in co-operation with SickKids Foundation, in order to completely rebuild the clinical space in the existing SickKids building.

“Over the course of our 50-year history, our customers and employees across the country have turned to SickKids and other children’s hospitals for life-saving and critical health-care services,” says Pat Finelli, chief Marketing officer at Pizza Pizza. “Childhood diseases, illnesses and trauma affect every person around us. We want to stand alongside this fantastic foundation and the children who continue to fight every single day. We owe it to them to give them the best chance at fighting any battle they’re facing.”

The funds raised by SickKids Foundation are divided to three components: $600 million towards a new patient care centre, $600 million towards paediatric health research, and $100 million towards establishing partnerships for patient care. Pizza Pizza has already raised more than $700,000 to support the SickKids VS Limits campaign.
