TORONTO — Slices for Smiles, Pizza Pizza’s charitable program, has raised more than $1 million for the Children’s Miracle Network and its 14 affiliated hospitals.
“Children mean the world to us,” said Pat Finelli, chief marketing officer at Pizza Pizza, at a special event marking the milestone.
“They’re our future and giving back is really about paying it forward to communities across Canada. Helping to provide life-saving care for kids through the Slices for Smiles Foundation is what makes all of us at Pizza Pizza feel good — we’re honoured to help.”
The Slices-for-Smiles campaign raised $275,000 in 2012, which will help fund critical services, cutting-edge research and excellence in care for millions of children across Canada. Proceeds remain within the communities in which they were raised, supporting the local Children’s Miracle Network member hospitals.
The Children’s Miracle Network raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals, including 14 Canadian hospitals.
