TORONTO — This month, PizzaForno, Canada’s only fully automated, pizza vending machine, is celebrating 50 locations across Canada and North America. The brand has also launched its new “take-and-bake” pizzas. Over the next five years, PizzaForno expects to have thousands of kiosks in operation across North America.
The easy-to-install kiosks are typically placed adjacent to restaurants and convenience stores, and within food courts and gas stations at a fraction of the cost of a restaurant franchise, with roughly 75-per-cent less overhead. PizzaForno serves seven types of pizza, including BBQ Chicken, Honey & Goat Cheese, Meat Lovers, Four Cheese, Pepperoni, Veggie and Hawaiian.
“PizzaForno’s growth is being driven by convenience and a national love of good pizza. There’s nowhere else you can get a hot, delicious 12-inch pizza 24/7 that’s ready in three minutes,” says Les Tomlin, Canadian co-founder, PizzaForno. “Our licensees are loving PizzaForno because it serves up another reason for customers to visit their existing businesses.”
“PizzaForno is driving sales to my convenience store because it’s the only after-hours food option in town for locals and tourists, and people are really surprised at how great it tastes,” says Port Severn licensee, Roni Carli, who opened the 50th location earlier this month.
