ATLANTA — Andrew Skehan has been appointed COO of the Popeyes’ brand international division after leaving his executive post at Wendy’s/Arby’s group.
Skehan served as Wendy’s/Arby’s COO from 2009 to 2011, following company plans to sell its struggling Arby’s franchise. Skehan was previously president of Quiznos’s International and held marketing and management positions at various other organizations.“Andrew is an experienced and enthusiastic international leader who is ideally suited to our company’s global expansion plans and our commitment to helping our franchise partners succeed,” said Cheryl Bachelder, AFC Enterprises CEO. “Andrew has hands-on experience building winning teams and restaurants around the globe; he is a valuable addition to our leadership team.”
The Atlanta-based Popeyes brand is operated by AFC Enterprises and has approximately 2,000 restaurants in the U.S., Guam, Puerto Rico, the Cayman Islands and more.
