Popular Lebanese Restaurant Opens First Canadian Location

VANCOUVER — With more than 70 locations in five countries throughout the Middle East, Zaatar W Zeit — a name synonymous with Lebanese street food — is officially open in Canada. 

The first North-American outpost is located at 531 Granville St. in Vancouver and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Some of the restaurant’s signature dishes include, Classic Zaatar, an authentic ground zaatar mixed with toasted sesame seeds, sumac spice and oil on naan bread ($4.99); Chicken Tawouk prepared in a traditional marinade, wrapped with pickles and garlic sauce inside a pita and paired with fries ($10.99); and Zooza, a salad comprised of lettuce, baked-potato slices, black beans, boiled eggs, cherry tomatoes, corn, black olives and tuna ($12.99).
