It’s an understatement to say many businesses are going through a difficult time. Now more than ever, it’s important for the industry to come together to share, strategize and accelerate new plans. With practical information and inspirational topics, RC Show 2021 will help rebuild, reinvent and reconnect the industry.

Canada’s leading foodservice and hospitality event continues with its 76th edition featuring a new format, ONLINE LIVE. This year’s virtual offering aims to re-ignite the industry by providing solutions-based content with the theme of Feeding the Recovery. Running February 28 to March 3, this annual trade event will provide the insights restaurateurs need to move forward.

“As restaurants have been forced to close their doors due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year’s RC Show is dedicated to providing restaurateurs with everything they need to survive and thrive as we move through 2021,” says Todd Barclay, president and Chief Executive Officer, Restaurants Canada. “Whether you’re re-imagining what your business looks like as you re-open your doors, or looking for world-class innovations to help expand your current offering, RC Show 2021 is the place to discover, network and find solutions to grow and support your business.”

Here’s a taste of what you can expect:

Rebuild

Restaurants Canada is Feeding the Recovery of our industry by integrating the RC Leadership Conference — normally presented as a separately ticketed event and a $250 value — into RC Show programming. Learn about the latest trends, find out where the industry is headed and hear from keynote speakers during all four days.

Foodservice operators are looking for every possible way to meet new patron demands and reinvent the restaurant experience. Attendees can tune into Where Do We Go from Here, Designing and Renovating for the New Restaurant Footprint and Diversify Your Revenue Streams sessions to name a few, that are designed to prepare operators with the knowledge needed to make smart business decisions going forward.

Operators can find innovative solutions and special show offers from trusted industry suppliers in the virtual Exhibit Hall. New this year, buyers and sellers are matched based on selected product categories of interest. Attendees can book meetings with exhibitors, RSVP to stage sessions and in-booth activations using their RC Show Meeting & Conference Planner. Making the most of the RC Show through engagement opportunities will also accumulate points that award prizes to leaderboard winners.

Reinvent

Attendees can hear from more than 100 experts who will share their experiences on everything from The Fate of Independent Restaurants to Cocktail Trends, COVID-19 Support, How to Rebuild Teams Post-Pandemic, How to Support Mental Health, and so much more.

Attendees can learn from the chefs and restaurateurs who successfully pivoted their operations and offerings to adapt to the new realities. Some have found success by adding innovative solutions, some by embracing technology to stay connected and others by adding new revenue-generating streams to their organizations.

Plus, with eight highly targeted and exclusive CEO panels, RC Show attendees can learn directly from recognized leaders about how they are addressing the toughest issues facing the industry today.

Reconnect

Technology has kept us all connected and collaborations are taking off with chefs, brands and suppliers coming together to engage with their consumers in new and exciting ways. Despite so many virtual partnerships, there’s still room for a little healthy competition amongst industry colleagues. The Beyond the Rail Competition is back with a twist. This year’s format is a pitch-style competition showcasing competitors’ cocktail kit creativity. The Garland Canada Culinary Competition will highlight the skills and ingenuity of 12 up-and-coming chefs as they battle for $10,000 in cash and prizes.

Breakfast With Champions is Restaurants Canada’s annual power breakfast event. It’s where the leaders of the hospitality industry will gather for data-driven insights from David Henkes, Sr. Principal, Technomic who will provide attendees with a global restaurant industry perspective. Gain exclusive knowledge from industry innovators including a panel discussion with Alo Food Group and David Bloom, Sumac Restaurants. Be inspired by Danny Meyer, Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Union Square Hospitality Group. Hear from Maeve Webster, President, Menu Matters, who will share the challenges and opportunities for the future of foodservice. Combined with a complimentary breakfast delivered by DoorDash, its two hours you can’t afford to miss. Breakfast With Champions is a separately ticketed event and until Feb 27, 2021, enjoy both the RC Show and Breakfast With Champions with the $100 ticket bundle.
