EDMONTON — Press’d Sandwich Shop has launched two new meatless menu items featuring Gardein Chick’n.
The new vegan-friendly sandwiches include the California Vegan, which features Gardein Chick’n, guacamole, vegan cheddar cheese, vegan mayo, lettuce, tomato and vegan multigrain bread; and the Blazing Vegan, featuring Gardein Chick’n, wing sauce, vegan cheddar cheese, vegan mayo, lettuce, tomato and vegan multigrain bread.
The new sandwiches are a response to demand for vegan options, especially from Press’d’s catering clients. “We have been looking to enter the vegan market for some time but have yet to find a product that meets our standard for great taste,” says Scott Gordon, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Press’d Sandwich Shop. “After tasting Gardein Chick’n, we were confident we had the right product to build some delicious vegan sandwiches around — so that’s exactly what we did.”
